Here we go.




I've always wanted to write down my thoughts, and start my own blog. So why keep waiting? Time is of the essence and there is no better time than the present.

I'm wrapping up my first semester at Flagler University, studying Strategic Communication with a minor in Marketing. I have an awesome, hardworking boyfriend, who is in the process of buying our first home, along with our zoo of animal friends. My baby sister is rapidly approaching her high school graduation, and my little brother is in middle school this year. One of my best friends is pregnant with her first baby, a little girl. I'm so excited to watch her grow. The other best friend of mine is living in Gainesville going to Santa Fe. And my family is still dysfunctional as ever. But I wouldn't be who I am without them. Life is moving so fast, sometimes it makes my head hurt.



April 12th, Garett and I celebrated a whole year of being together. He deals with a lot from me and I am so lucky he sticks by my side! :)
 
               

In a very short eight days, I will be turning 22 years old. (cue the Taylor Swift song🎶) This kind of makes me want to freak out. I always imagined the days of turning 21, not the years after. But, for the most part, I think I'm doing an okay job just winging it. I don't have any big plans yet, and if you know me this is not normal. I think it's just because I've been so crazy busy since starting at Flagler. I take classes three nights a week, from 6 to 9:20. Knock on wood, we haven't had to stay that late yet. I'm really enjoying the program I am in, and my classmates. We all get along really well.

                                        21st birthday in PCB Wednesday, May the 3rd. Last year on this day, my sister and my grandparents went to Olive Garden and the movies to see the Jungle Book, celebrating my 21st birthday. On my actual birthday, Garett and I went to Panama City where I had made reservations at Bikini Beach Resort. We took one look at our room and the 'shared' balcony and knew it wouldn't cut it. So the sweet girl at the front desk, Ashley? Taylor? we don't remember but she was an angel, hooked us up. She walked with us up to the rooms and we picked the one we wanted, no extra charge or anything. We ended up with a huge room with 2 beds, a kitchen area and a private balcony overlooking the water. Feelin 22

  So here it is, a few weeks after my 22nd birthday. I was showered with love, spending my actual birthday shopping and relaxing, eating a late lunch with my mom and sister at Red Elephant and later picking up Chick-fil-A with G and eating in bed haha! The next day we hit the road for Gainesville around 9:30. I was so excited to visit Mattie and see where she has lived for the past 6 months. We also took Britt along as a surprise and we had such a fun afternoon, finally eating at a Mexican restaurant for my birthday! It was such a fun day and I can't wait until we can go again. I feel older every day but 22 is almost like a gut punch. I haven't been the same digits since my 11th birthday and won't be again until I turn 33 (scary...) A lot has happened since I was 11 and I know a lot will happen in the next ten years. My wish is that ten years from now, I am just as happy and content with my life as I am today...
